We Bought Paul Bunyan Campground Sight Unseen — Here’s What We’ve Done Since Ownership in 2025

Since purchasing Paul Bunyan Campground in 2025, we've been working hard to breathe new life into this place. We've hauled away 75+ yards of trash, created a dog park, renovated the bathrooms, upgraded the store and game room, painted the front building, installed a new sign, and replaced an unsafe playground with our community bonfire area where we gather every Saturday. And that's only the beginning. We put everything we have into this campground, and every dollar spent with us goes right back into making Paul Bunyan better. Located in Spruce, right between Alpena and Harrisville and just minutes from Lake Huron, we're a vintage-style Northern Michigan campground with RV, tent and van camping, a newly renovated pool and bathrooms, dog park, game room and plenty of old-school campground character. Use us as your home base for exploring the Sunrise Side, Northeast Michigan, Alpena, Harrisville and Lake Huron—or don't explore at all and just relax around the campfire.
